      The 2026 Door County Jazz Festival kicks off with a free, community screening of Miles Davis: Birth Of The Cool, courtesy of Mecury Studios, Ltd., celebrating the 100 year centennial, life an career of musical giant, and cultural icon, Miles Davis, a true visionary, innovator and originator who defied categorization, and embodied the work: Cool. 

     The screening will be held here at the Sturgeon Bay Cinema 6 from 2PM-4PM, Sunday, August 2nd, followed by a Q & A discussion of Davis' legacy.
